๐ง Buzzword Breakdown
What is the Double Diamond design process?๐ฑ๐ง
The Double Diamond is a design framework developed by the British Design Council that guides businesses through a four-stage process: Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver, to create user-centred products and services.
The Design Councilโs Double Diamond illustrates how ideas evolve through exploration and focus. It moves from Discover and Defineโunderstanding and framing the problemโto Develop and Deliverโcreating and testing solutions. This process is iterative, encouraging teams to learn, adapt, and continuously improve in an ever-changing world.
๐ฌ "The Uncertainty Advantage by Scott Stirrett is a modern career guide that redefines how young professionals navigate constant change. Blending research, real-world stories, and practical tools, it teaches readers to embrace uncertainty as a growth opportunity rather than a threat. For college students preparing for unpredictable job markets, it offers valuable lessons in resilience, self-compassion, and antifragilityโskills essential for thriving in an AI-driven, rapidly evolving world."
๐ Book reviews from our students: Playing to Win
From Joseph Hamuli Rais, Current Student: Playing to Win showed me that true strategy means making focused choices that create real advantage.
โA strategy is a coordinated set of choices that uniquely meet consumer needs to create competitive advantage.โ โ A.G. Lafley
Jiaying (Yvonne), COIE Community Member (12th grade):Reading Playing to Win taught me that strategy is about making deliberate choicesโdeciding where to play and how to win, not trying to do everything.
