πUNA-BYP 2026: A Weekend of Impact |
|

From July 10β12, the United Nations Association in Canada (UNA-Canada)-Building Young Professionals (BYP) and co-hosted with COIE, welcomed nearly 40 national delegates, including 8 Centennial College students and alumni, for 3 days of experiential learning in sustainability and innovation.
The program featured a Green Talent Expo & Networking Event that welcomed more than 150 attendees, including 35 COIE Student and Alumni Ambassadors. Congratulations to Group 3 for winning the final challenge with their innovative Strengthening Food Systems in Northern Canada circular food lab concept for Mayo, Yukon.
Thank you to our valued partners and supporters, including the Centennial College Event Centre, Faculty of Global Business and Creative Industries, Centennial Place, Centennial College's AV Team, Alumni Office, Sustainability Team, and Centennial Innovates for making this program possible. We also extend our sincere appreciation to all facilitators, speakers, mentors, volunteers, employers, ecosystem partners, and everyone who contributed to this experiential learning experience. The City of Richmond Hill has partnered with OCAD University to launch the Centre for Local Innovation and Collaboration (CLIC)! Funded by eCampus Ontario and Centennial College, this unique, design-driven centre for innovation is part of a broad-based approach to accelerating business growth and innovation. CLIC exists to explore opportunities for local businesses to gain access to applied research and to leverage human-centred design expertise.

Pitch competition
Hosted by ICUBE and the Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus, in partnership with the City of Mississauga, UofT Entrepreneurship, and QueerTech, Pride Pitch 2026 is open to students, staff, faculty, Peel Region community members, and QueerTech members. The competition offers $10,000 in cash prizes to support and accelerate the growth of 2SLGBTQ+ entrepreneurs.
