🌟 April at COIE: Learn and build
April is buzzing at COIE! With the Changemaker Mindset Series, inspiring guest speakers, hands-on DesTech (AI & Design) workshops, and the final Virtual Book Club Talk of Winter 2026, this month is packed with learning, connection, and changemaking.
Student changemakers shine at recent Global Goals Jam Canada🙌
Over 120 students, alumni, staff and community changemakers engaged in collaborative changemaking at the Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (COIE)’s Global Goals Jam Canada Winter 2026, supported by philanthropist Diane Blake.
Huge thanks to 15+ Centennial faculty, staff, and leaders for supporting COIE’s first in-person Global Goals Jam as mentors, panellists, and judges. What a success! Congrats to our winning teams! 🎉

Destech Studio: Things from the Future - Speculative x Design Fiction Workshop with AI
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll use speculative fiction + design fiction to imagine a near-future world shaped by real global challenges. You’ll design a diegetic prototype—a product that belongs in that world—and bring it to life using Krea (AI).
HORIZON SCAN: Who Else Is Doing What You Want to Do?
Recent graduates exploring entrepreneurship — full-time or part-time — with a business idea they want to pressure-test against the real world. Useful if you've already attended the AI Business Planning session, but no prior workshop is required.
Toronto Tech Week is officially back. From May 25–29, 2026, Toronto will once again come alive with hundreds of community-led tech events, built by the people shaping what’s next. Check out their event agenda for this event.
Startup Careers The Treefrog Accelerator program and technical foundry have both a local and international focus. It began as a way to “complete” the southern Ontario technology triangle by adding an accelerator program to the north of the Greater Toronto Area. It provides programs for both international and local startups that help them to focus and scale their businesses.
